Date: October 16 to November 16, 2016
Country: United States
Initiated in 2010 by the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the annual festival explores the spiritual power of music as revealed in different cultural traditions. Through music, words, and movement, the event aims to illuminate and inspire various directions of the interior lives. In each fall, wide-ranging multidisciplinary performances from musical traditions to acrobatics and puppetry, will be held in various creative venues around New York. In each edition, contemporary pieces and fresh interpretations of classic works will be presented, offering new resonance and connection with the current time in which we live. Maestro Simon Rattle, Matthias Goerne, Gidon Kremer and many more international musicians were featured under the spotlight in previous editions.
