CGI blockbusters and brain-numbing video games are damaging our children’s imaginations and impoverishing their lives. Can opera help?

Opera meant nothing in the educational world of my youth – like X-rated films and dry martini, it was something reserved for adults only.

That worked just fine for me; I was left to make my own discovery without parents or teachers breathing down my neck and making me feel that opera was something that I should like. Full story.
